FIFA World Cup 2014, Brazil vs Chile: Key players to watch

We have reached the stage of the tournament when there are no second chances and on its day each team is capable of beating just about everyone. The knock out phase of the 2014 FIFA World Cup commences in Belo Horizonte with host nation Brazil taking on Chile. Here is a compilation of some of the players on show who may determine the way the game pans out.

Neymar: The young Brazilian is the new heart throb of his nation and has not disappointed with four goals to his name already. Brazil will be hoping for the Barcelona man to continue his hot streak in order to overcome a rampaging Chilean side.

Alexis Sanchez: The Barcelona striker has impressed one and all with his performances at the finals so far and is more than capable of taking on the Brazilian defence who have been suspect at time in the cup so far..

Players to watch out for Brazil

Oscar: He is an important member of a young side assembled by Luiz Felipe Scholari and has looked good so far in the tournament. His pace and skills will trouble the Chileans as long as he is on the pitch in Belo Horizonte.

Thiago Silva: The PSG star is a natural leader and he will have to marshal his troops again when his side face the Chileans. The onus of keeping the likes of Alexis Sanchez quite is on him and his defending abilities are sure to be tested.

Luis Gustavo: He is a type of player who quietly goes about his job without much fuss giving his all to the side. While Neymar, Fred and others are constantly under the spotlight,Gustavo does the workman like job away from all the frenzy.

Players To Watch Out For Chile

Arturo Vidal: The creative Juventus midfielder almost single handedly decimated Spain with his razor sharp passing and his skills will be put to test again when he faces the host nation in Belo Horizonte.

Claudio Bravo: The Chilean skipper will have to brave a wave of Brazilian attacks and if his side is side is to progress, Bravo needs to put up a master class performance.

Eduardo Vargas: He has been one of the top performers for his side up till now and his nation would be hoping Vargas finds the back of the net against Brazil just as he did against Spain in the group stage.
