Here we look at the players desperate to finally come to the party in Brazil.
STAR PLAYERS

Matthew Spiranovic: The Australian defender is his country’s most sought after player and his towering presence in defence will help keep the Spanish attackers at bay.
Mathew Leckie: The find of the tournament for the Socceroos , this elegant striker has performed phenomenally well at the 2014 finals. His new found status in the squad makes him a player to watch out for in the near future.
PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT FOR SPAIN
Juan Fran: The Athletico Madrid defender is expected to start against Australia and should bring calmness to the Spanish backline that has looked vulnerable to counter attacks and set pieces.
Cesc Fabregas: The only good news for this Spaniard in this disastrous campaign has been his transfer to Chelsea and this crafty midfielder will look to show his new employers they have not made a bad deal.
Pepe Reina: After being in three World Cup squads, Pepe Reina will finally start for Spain in what should be his last World cup. He will be looking to make this match a memorable one that lasts him a lifetime.
