Stakes will be pretty high when Greece takes on the Ivory Coast in Fortaleza to join Colombia as the qualifiers from Group C. Didier Drogba and his men have never made it past the group stage and they are the hot favourites to qualify from this group. The Greece on the other hand are more than capable of beating the African nation and keep themselves alive in the tournament .Let’s look at some of the players on show hoping to make a difference for their sides.

Vasilis Torosidis: The job of guarding the Greek backline will be on Torosidis who is famous for scoring a comical own goal against Romania in the World Cup qualifier. He was one of the few good performers of their disastrous 2010 campaign and is a threat from the set pieces.
Theofanis Gekas: Greece has made few scoring opportunities in Brazil so far and Gekas has been involved with most of them. The veteran striker would look to form a formidable strike partnership with Samaras against the Elephants whose defence does look vulnerable.
PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT FOR IVORY COAST
Didier Drogba: One of Africa’s greatest ever footballer has often spoken of his desire to see his side in the knock out stages of the tournament. Drogba will do all he can in what is Ivory Coast’s most important match for quite some time.
Yaya Toure: The African footballer of the year is one of the best midfielders of the world currently and despite an injury setback, he remains a potent weapon for his side.
Cheick Tiote: The defensive midfielder will have to impose himself on the game early on to devoid Greece the possession of the ball. He controls the game with his crunching tackles and high pressing allowing his attackers to move forward at will.
